Purpose Ministry is currently hosting the Purpose Retreat at the
Lake Junaluska Retreat Center at beautiful Lake Junaluska, N.C.
The Retreat is held on the Third Weekend in October. The Non-
Denominational program is designed not just as a weekend outing
but a retreat with a full schedule of Biblical teaching, outstanding
preaching services, singing the good old hymns of the church,
witnessing times, prayer groups and good wholesome fellowship
with other Christians. This event begins on Friday evening and
concludes at noon on Sunday.

Rev. Mike Atkins

Rev. Mike Atkins, Pastor of Jackson Hole Christian Center in Wyoming, continues to be our most requested speaker. He brings to this retreat the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a passion that reaches deep into each soul, inspiring us to live a more purposeful, spiritual, Christian life. His message lifts us up from personal situations and points us to God for our answers. Each person leaves the retreat filled with the love of God and the blessings bestowed on us when Jesus died for our sins. He is dedicated to spreading his Christian message around the world and we are grateful and blessed that he keeps us in his schedule each year.

Dr. Argile Smith

Dr. Argile Smith as senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Biloxi, MS is also a returning speaker to Purpose. His heart is for all to come to a personal and growing knowledge of Jesus Christ, as he shares his own passion in experiencing the joys of knowing Christ. Dr. Smith resided as Vice President for Advancement at William Carey University, occupied the J.D. Grey Chair of Preaching at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and served as interim pastor throughout both Mississippi and Louisiana before becoming senior Pastor at FBC. Purpose Ministry anticipates Dr. Smith as a teacher to again explain the Scriptures with insight and inspiration. Although a new friend to Purpose, Dr. Smith is someone we look forward to seeing again and again.
